Resume Writing and Elementary Teacher Jobs -- What You Should Know
You must posess some knowledge about the resume writing and elementary teacher jobs.Since your resume is a deciding factor of whether you will get a job or not you should put more efforts to make it attractive. A resume appropriate for someone entering a teaching field is called a CV, or curriculum vitae. If you've never held a teaching job before and are applying for one, your CV is the single most important asset you can have.
The first part of your CV is of course, your contact information. Include your name, physical address, email address, telephone number and fax number. Next, you will want to go into detail about your education. You will want to list the schools you attended, what years you attended them, your major, your GPA, your date of graduation and any graduation honors you received. After you've listed your education, the next part of your CV is any awards or honors you've achieved. If you haven't received any, skip to the next parts.
Other parts of your CV include your teaching experience as an intern or assistant. You should also go into detail about any volunteer work you've done. Another part of a CV is listing any associations, organizations or clubs you are a part of. If you've had work published in any journals, you will want to list this as well. Yet another important aspect of a curriculum vitae are references. You need to include references who can vouch for your education and experience and recommend you as a teacher who has the ability to teach an elementary school class.
Resume writing and elementary teacher jobs go hand in hand. You are simply not going to get a teaching job without a good resume or CV. This is why you need to make sure your CV is the best it can be. Proofread your CV several times and make sure it is grammatically correct and contains no spelling or formatting errors. Have colleagues, mentors, teachers or friends read it as well and offer constructive criticism. Your resume should be absolutely perfect before it reaches the hands of the person who might hire you. It is a document which helps administrators decide which candidates should be considered for the job and which should be passed over.
